What an incredible week we've had in San Francisco at the HIVE Summit by VeChain! It was a whirlwind of innovation, inspiration, and unforgettable moments.
Journey to San Francisco
We started our adventure with a flight from Zurich to the bustling city of San Francisco. The excitement among the team was palpable as we geared up to participate in a significant event focused on sustainability and blockchain technology.
The HIVE Summit Experience
The HIVE Summit, held on Friday, June 28th, was all about fostering an inclusive community and driving collective action on sustainability using the power of blockchain. Inspired by nature, The HIVE symbolizes the strength of working together toward common goals.
We were privileged to hear from some of the most influential minds in the field, including:
Sunny Lu (CEO of VeChain)
Sir Konstantin Novoselov FRS (Nobel Prize in Physics)
Dr. Bernhard Kronfellner (Boston Consulting Group)
Anne Deng (Boston Consulting Group)
etc.
Bianca and I also took the stage to present our SolarWise project. It was inspiring to meet and exchange ideas with other VebetterDAO projects like Cleanify, Carboneers, Mugshot, Non Fungible Book Club, Green Cart, Oily, and EVearn. We are very excited that the VebetterDAO is now on mainnet!
Launching Our Solarwise DApp
One of the week's biggest highlights was launching our DApp on the Testnet during the HIVE Summit. The DApp, still in its early stages, lets users mint Solar NFTs and claim weekly SUN XP points, leading to a $SUN airdrop once the token goes live. We made 3,200 NFTs available for minting on Friday—one per person—and were amazed when all of them were minted within 48 hours! This enthusiastic response exceeded our wildest expectations.
Gratitude and Acknowledgments
A massive thank you to VeChain for inviting us to the HIVE Summit and giving us the platform to share our vision of connecting solar projects with investors. Our developer and design team worked tirelessly to bring the DApp to life in such a short time, and their efforts truly paid off. The work they did in such a short time is impressive, and we owe them many, many thanks for making the app launch possible.
We also want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the entire VeChain team for working so hard to make such a great event possible. Their dedication and effort were evident in every aspect of the summit.
